Kanye West has beaten 50 Cent and claimed the UK’s best-selling album spot.
West’s single ‘Stronger’ also ahead of 50 Cent’s song ‘Ayo Technology’.
50 Cent had vowed that he would retire if West sold more.
West’s “Graduation” is also expected to beat 50 Cent’s Curtis to the top spot in the US when the final chart is published on Wednesday.

50 Cent has “temporarily postponed” his European tour.
Kanye West topped the UK charts on Sunday.
A spokeswoman for 50 Cent refused to comment on his retirement plans, saying:
“unforeseen circumstances” had led to the temporary postponement of his tour.
50 was also due to perform at this week’s Mobo Awards and Vodafone Live Music Awards in London, as well as an MTV show in Germany on Friday. Those appearances have also been cancelled also.

Twista’s new album “Adrenaline Rush 2007″ hits stores on September 18.
The two first singles released from the LP are ‘Give It Up’, featuring Pharrell and ‘Creep Fast’ with T-Pain.

BET has announced the nominees for the annual BET Hip Hop Awards 2007.
T.I. leads leads the pack with with nine nominations.
Trailing is Lil’ Wayne with seven nods.
Kanye West drew six, Common earned five, Jay-Z grabbed four, and Ludacris and 50 Cent got three each.
The Second Annual BET Hip-Hop Awards will take place in Atlanta and will air on the BET on October 17th.

Eminem has decided to come out of retirement.
The rapper is hard at work on his first studio album in three years.
The Detroit rapper confesses that he is now able to return to work after sorting out in his personal problems.
Eminem called New York’s radio station Hot 97 on Thursday and said:
“I’m always working — I’m always in the studio,”
“It feels good right now … For a while, I didn’t want to go back to the studio … I went through some personal things. I’m coming out of those personal things (and) it feels good.”

50 Cent is now facing retirement after being beaten by Kanye West in the chart battle.
Kanye West’s “Graduation” is on the path to sell about 575,000 to 700,000 its first week out, while 50 Cent’s “Curtis” is on track to do 550,000, according to Billboard magazine.
Fiddy had boldly announced:
“If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I’ll no longer write music. I’ll work with my other artists, but I won’t put out anymore solo albums.”
